AFSPA MEMBER PORTAL

Member Portal is a secure gateway designed for the privacy of our members. This feature allows Private Messages to be sent to our members to maintain compliance with HIPAA, SOX and other Federal regulations. Simply click on the appropriate insurance program icon to send an e-mail, claim (health only) and enrollment/application in a confidential manner. AFSPA is required to protect its members' Personal Identifiable Information (PII), Protected Health Information (PHI) and all financial information.

In order to log in to the Member Portal, you must be enrolled in one of our insurance programs. You may update your contact information, including preferred communication method with AFSPA (e-mail or USPS mail) at any time.

To further protect your privacy, when a message between AFSPA and our members contains sensitive information, we will send it as a Private Message in the Member Portal. You will receive an e-mail from AFSPA at the e-mail address on file notifying you to log in to the Member Portal to retrieve the Private Message. Messages that do not contain HIPAA, SOX, or sensitive content will be sent to the e-mail address of the initial e-mail.

First-Time Users

You will need to enter three pieces of information to log in to the Member Portal:

  1. First field (username) - Enter your last name
  2. Second field (e-mail address) - Enter an e-mail address that you wish AFSPA to use when communicating with you
  3. Third field (password) - Enter the last 5 digits of your SSN

AFSPA encourages its members to personalize their log in information by selecting a unique username and password. Simply click on "Update your Personalized Log In" and follow the prompts.

As of September 1, 2009, the Prudential Life Insurance Company of America will underwrite the Protective Association’s Group Term Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment plans.

Our Group Term Life Insurance plan assists surviving family members with those unexpected costs associated with the death of a loved one. Coverage is available up to $600,000, in increments of $10,000. This plan includes a Living Care Benefit and cannot be cancelled as long as you pay your premiums. However, coverage will terminate at age 70.

Our Group Accidental Death and Dismemberment plan offers coverage up to $600,000. Family coverage is available. This plan includes the following benefits: Loss Due to Coma, Day Care Expense, Spouse Tuition Reimbursement, and Home Alteration and Vehicle Modification. This plan excludes war (declared or undeclared) or any act of war.
