Foreign Service Benefit Plan 2020 Premiums and Benefit Changes

We are excited about offering you our 2020 Foreign Service Benefit Plan (FSBP) Rates, Benefits and Programs!  Open Season is from November 11 to December 9, 2019 and the FSBP is here to assist you in making the most informed decision about your health coverage.

Our 2020 bi-weekly enrollee premiums for Self Only (Code 401) and Self and Family (Code 402) increased by only 2.9%, while our Self Plus One (Code 403) bi-weekly premium increased by only 4.3% - once again keeping us extremely competitive, as you can see below.

Review our premiums relative to other high option plans in the FEHB Program.

Benefit Enhancements for 2020:doctor meeting

  • Changed the precertification requirements for maternity admissions to 3 days after admission for a vaginal delivery and 5 days after admission for a cesarean section
  • Telehealth services now offered through Teladoc®
  • Removed the hour limits for calculating a home health visit
  • Added information about our Remote Hypertension Monitoring Program through Livongo
  • Increased the wellness incentive reward amount members can earn and has added an incentive for completing the Tobacco Cessation/E-cigarettes Program

Our New Programs include:

  • Express Scripts Specialist Pharmacists Program
  • Livongo Remote Hypertension Monitoring Program

Important Things you should Know. The Plan also:pharmacist

  • Updated the precertification/prior approval list
  • Changed the name of Aetna Navigator and Aetna Mobile App to Aetna's secure member website and Aetna Health App
  • Clarified that telephonic and web-based genetic counseling is available through Informed DNA
  • Clarified the types of care covered by Home Health Aides
  • Clarified the availability of the Express Scripts Specialist Pharmacists Program
