Dear AFSPA Members:

We have continued to work closely with Express Scripts and Teladoc Health on the necessary fixes for the EncircleRx program for members taking GLP-1s for weight management. In addition, we have remained in regular touch with our contracting team at the Office of Personnel Management.

Over the last two weeks, we have seen improvements in the communication between our two partners. Also, we are seeing fewer members experience problems with the Teladoc Health app. There is more work to be done, and we anticipate continued progress in the days ahead.

For now, members’ providers can complete the necessary prior authorization for these drugs through the EviCore online portal or by calling 800-417-1764. Providers must submit documentation to support a patient’s baseline BMI and comorbidities.

In the near future, we do anticipate reinstating the requirements for participation in the Teladoc program. We encourage members to continue weighing in and utilizing the support offered through these programs to continue their success with the prescription drugs.
