Open Season is quickly approaching for federal employees, retirees, and annuitants. AFSPA is preparing to participate in numerous Open Season briefings and benefits fairs across the country and around the world, as well as host several informative webinars. This season highlights the importance of staying informed about your health by getting the flu vaccine and keeping in touch with AFSPA for updates on benefit enhancements and changes.
Extended Phone Hours from October 1 to December 31, 2025
We are pleased to announce that we’ve extended our customer service phone hours. From October 1 to December 31, 2025, our dedicated health benefits officers will be available to assist you from 7 AM to 7 PM ET with questions about the Foreign Service Benefit Plan.

AFSPA Closed for Staff Training and Development Day
Our AFSPA office will be closed on Friday, July 25, 2025, for a staff training and development day. During this period, our customer service representatives will be unavailable to take calls.
AAAHC (Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care) Notice of Public Survey
FBSP is pursuing reaccreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC). This Notice of Health Plan Survey makes you aware that AAAHC will conduct FSBP’s comprehensive onsite Reaccreditation Survey from August 20-22, 2025.
